Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 With 5G Modem Announced, Affordability To 5G Devices?
Just a couple of hours earlier, Qualcomm announced an upcoming budget-friendly chip with 5G connectivity, the Snapdragon 480 5G.
The chip is to offer twice the performance of its predecessor, which brings over 100% improvement over the Snapdragon 460.
The new chip has a fabrication process of 8nm, smaller than its predecessor (Snapdragon 460) which is 11nm. Other features include FastConnect 6200 mobile connectivity subsystem that makes it Wi-Fi 6-ready, Adreno 619 GPU, Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+, 5G Cloud Gaming, display support up to Full HD at 120Hz refresh rate, and more.
Is this a sign that will give affordability for 5G devices?
