Google Pixel 5a is basically a sidegrade to the original Pixel 5

Google earlier today announced the latest A-series smartphone in addition to the Pixel lineup — the Pixel 5a. A cheaper alternative to the vanilla Pixel 5, with a headphone jack.

Similar but not the same.

Unlike Pixel 5, the Pixel 5a boasts a slightly larger 6.34-inch Full HD display in OLED panel but only opts in for a standard 60Hz refresh rate. It still powers the same Snapdragon 765G SoC, 16MP ultra-wide and 12.2MP wide lenses on the rear, and an 8MP shooter on the front, although the battery is bigger than its predecessor at 4,680mAh. Surprisingly, it also has a headphone jack, which beats most of the Pixel phones that lack it.

There’s not a lot to talk about the Pixel 5a since most of the specifications remain the same but it’s cheaper, larger, and more flexible. I’m telling you, it ticks everything that a smartphone needs because it has a headphone jack.

The Google Pixel 5a is now open for pre-orders starting at $449 bucks and will arrive on August 26. You can get it through SulitZilla with a pre-payment fee of PHP27,990 in the Philippines. Local shipping costs will be calculated at the time of shipping.
