Netflix recently announced the launch of its FREE plan in Kenya. The free plan gives people the opportunity to experience Netflix at absolutely no cost, as it does NOT require users to put their payment information when signing up. According to Netflix, all you have to do is to enter your email, confirm you are 18 or over and create a password. However, the plan is only available on Android devices though.

It is also being reported that the available catalog is limited to 25% of all movies and shows found in the platform’s paid tier. Other than that, it’s obvious that the free plan won’t allow users to cast content to TVs and won’t have the option to download titles for offline viewing, it’s the free plan after all. But honestly, this is actually enough for Netflix to convince movie aficionados in Kenya to subscribe to their paid plan.
