Aperture in, Snap out.
Say goodbye to LineageOS’ legacy camera app “Snap” as the newest version introduces “Aperture,” the ROM’s new camera app. It is based on Google’s CameraX library and is said to provide a much more “to stock” experience on supported devices.
A lot of new changes have also been added to the new version with the Recorder app having a Material You redesign, the Updater app now getting a fancy Android TV layout, and a major bug fix and enhancements for the rest of the changelog. For the full list of changes, click here.
As for the build roster, LineageOS 20 supports 20 devices including the ASUS Zenfone 5Z, Fairphone 4, the XDA Phone, and recent Pixel devices: Pixel 4 and 5 series though most of the devices that made it to the list are from Motorola and OnePlus.
For those unaware, LineageOS usually push their annual releases nearly every April.
