South Korean tech giant Samsung recently announced its handful of three new smartphones in addition to the Galaxy lineup. Meet — the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra. The company’s newest flagship trio features a slightly-revamped design and improved performance over its predecessors.

Starting with the main non-ultra models, the Galaxy S23 and S23+ differ in batteries and screen sizes. For instance, the base model uses a compact 6.1-inch display while a bigger 6.6-inch opts in for the latter. The same goes for the battery as the base model comes equipped with a 3,900mAh capacity while the plus model settles for a longer 4,700mAh battery. Albeit, both models have an AMOLED panel and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Despite having different screen sizes and batteries, the two models basically have the same specs under the hood. The flagship duo uses a bespoke Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset exclusively made for the Galaxy S23 series, including the top-of-the-line Ultra model, which features higher clock speeds compared to the standard 8 Gen 2 variants seen on most phones.

As for the cameras, the main duo features a 12MP f/2.2 camera on the front and a 50MP f/1.8 main camera on the back, alongside 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide and 10MP f/2.4 telephoto camera units with enhanced night photography and improved image stabilization.
Galaxy S23 Ultra

If there’s anything that would make the Ultra model prominent, that would be its triple camera setup because the Galaxy S23 Ultra features a whopping 200MP f/1.7 wide sensor for its primary lens which the brand calls Adaptive, it is believed to provide high-resolution photography with “class-leading detail” for lifestyle photos. The main sensor is accompanied by its 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide and two 10MP (3x and 10x) telephoto lenses. For selfies, it has a 12MP front-facing camera.
Aside from its cameras, the Galaxy S23 Ultra features a slightly larger screen than the Plus variant as it comes with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display in Quad HD (3088 x 1440) resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also packs a bigger 5,000mAh battery with Super Fast Charging 2.0. The rest of the specs include Wi-FI 6E connectivity, OneUI 5.1, and more.
