Smart launches KiQ as new prepaid mobile brand with personalized eSIM experience

MANILA, Philippines — Telecom company Smart has announced the launch of its new prepaid mobile brand KiQ (pronounced "kick") in the Philippines, bringing the country's first personalized app-based eSIM experience, in a press release sent to androidist on Friday, August 8, 2025.
The new digital prepaid brand from the telecom company offers a personalized digital telco experience, giving users full control over their mobile lifestyle. Within the KiQ app, subscribers can customize their data packages, select whether to include calls and texts, and use the slider bar to determine their plan validity.
Additionally, subscribers can also choose their number through the app.
“Filipino Gen Zs are redefining how they live, share, and stay connected. With KiQ, we’re giving them a mobile experience that puts them in full control — no wasted data, no unnecessary add-ons, just total freedom and flexibility. This is what the future of mobile looks like,” said Anastacio “Boy” R. Martirez, Smart Chief Operating Officer.
Customizable eSIM packages on the KiQ App
Interested users can head on to the Google Play Store (for Android) or the Apple App Store (for iOS) to download the KiQ App. From there, they can purchase a KiQ eSIM for only PHP 99, personalize their plan, and choose their mobile number within minutes.
For eSIM activation, subscribers can simply click to download the eSIM and activate it in their phone's settings.
