During an event, Apple introduced the third generation of the brand’s iPhone SE series — the iPhone SE 2022. It is a beast on the inside, and old-fashioned on the outside, featuring the iconic iPhone 6 design with iPhone 13’s processor.

For starters, the iPhone SE 2022 retains the same 4.7-inch display in aluminum and glass material. This iteration gains the “toughest glass in a smartphone” as it comes with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance and is designed to protect against spills. It also has a Touch ID home button for biometrics, and is available in (PRODUCT)RED, Starlight, and Midnight colors.

Under the hood is the flagship Apple A15 Bionic chip, a 6-core CPU with 2 performance and 4 efficiency cores, alongside a 4-core GPU with 16-core Neural Engine. It comes in storage options, 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB and runs the latest iOS 15 on the software-side.

In terms of cameras, the iPhone SE 2022 is equipped with a total of two cameras on both front and back. The back features a 12MP wide camera sensor with f/1.8 aperture that supports digital zoom up to 5x with portrait mode, Smart HDR 4, OIS, and more, while the front camera packs a 7MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture which also supports Smart HDR 4.

Keeping the lights on is an all-day battery that can be charged to 50-percent in just 30 minutes with a 20W charging brick or higher that is sold separately. It also supports wireless charging.

The pricing of the iPhone SE 2022 starts at PHP 28,990 for the 64GB variant and is now listed on the official Apple PH website.
