The iPhone 13 is just around the corner, I mean, we’re only six days away from the event, and now the internet is flooded with iPhone 14 leaks. You know, the first thing that crossed my mind is that, why iPhone 14? Not 13? Just like what Apple did with the iPhone 8, it looks like they will also be skipping the number 13, and on top of that, this next-gen iPhone seems to be a complete overhaul over its predecessor.
According to the notorious Apple leaker Jon Prosser, the new iPhone 14 series does look promising, and I honestly can’t imagine an iPhone having a hole-punch cut-out. To be honest, I like the way it used to be, compact. Having a hole-punch cut-out is like ditching all sensors and the only thing that stays is the camera if you know what I mean. With that being said, bezels are essential. Well yes, an immersive display is cool but what about its capabilities?
Talking about notches, the punch-hole cut-out will be housed under the display and still supports FaceID. Prosser also claims that the iPhone 14 series is likely to go with a lightning port instead of USB Type-C, which is bearing bad news to USB-C fans.
Notches aside, the iPhone 14 series will also get an all-new titanium design. It’s actually a reminiscent of the 4th gen iPhone 4 and 4s. When I say reminiscent, I’m referring to the design. Nostalgia hits hard.
There you have it, iPhone 14 seems to be taking the spotlight as it trends over the official iPhone 13 event. Jon Prosser doesn’t have a 100% record when it comes to Apple products, however, his previous leaks have been proven accurate with his renders of Apple’s AirTag, and the AirPods Max. As such, please take it with a grain of salt.
