StackLeague now officially launched, reveals PHP 10M prize pool

During its ongoing media event, StackLeague, the country’s first year-round competitive programming league, has revealed the tournament’s massive PHP 10,000,000 prize pool to encourage student and professional programmers alike to assess their skills and be offered a tech job opportunity in no time.

But before going further, is that really all there to it?

So, what’s the catch?

While it may seem easy at first, to achieve that goal, participants must first sign up on StackLeague’s official website and then go through a rough process that falls somewhere between easy and difficult. After that, participants will get nationwide recognition and will be offered hundreds of giveaways, as well as exclusive event invitations and more!

The nationwide recognition will occur on StackLeague’s official website, which will feature notable programmers from time to time along with a monthly recognition of top players to partner companies. StackLeague players will also be able to manage their player profiles and connect with other StackLeague players.

StackLeague Tech and Sessions await players challenges to go beyond the competition and inspire the nation into coding. Additionally, there’s also a StackLeague Ambassador Program that showcases ambassadors of the month occasionally. As of the writing, StackLeague has only revealed the ambassador for January, Aire Jade Taga. February’s ambassador is to follow soon!

StackTrek Assessment Technology

StackLeague also introduced the StackTrek Assessment Technology at the event. It comes in various activities including Simple Expression, Parsing and Regex, Standard Library Usage, Algorithms, Control Structures, Error Handling, Data Structures, and Object-Oriented Programming.

Meanwhile, the supported programming languages are as follows: Javascript, Java, Python, C#, and PHP.

Ranking system

As for the StackLeague Ranking System, points increase as more challenges are conquered. Higher scores would mean higher rankings. The challenger levels consist of Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

StackLeague will also reveal the top ranking players and teams as winners as a year-ender so that is something to look forward to!

Furthermore, StackLeague highlights the Challenger Level Up, Treasure Chest, and is comprised in two categories: Individual and Team Category. The Challenge Series, on the other hand, is a way to communicate with other players by means of competing with them.

The event ends with an introduction to the Syntactics Challenge, StackLeague Playoffs, and how the ambassador program works.
