Genshin Impact’s biggest update dubbed as “The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia” is slated to launch on July 21.
The 2.0 update (as previously thought 1.7) will be adding the Inazuma region along with the cross-save functionality. There will be three new playable characters, and the update will feature tons of new areas, bosses, secrets, and hidden treasures for travelers to discover.
“Unlike Mondstadt and Liyue, Inazuma is surrounded by the sea on all sides and consists of six main islands, often accompanied by a strong sea breeze and thunderstorms. Although Inazuma is greatly affected by fleeting lightning and the Electro element, the Electro Archon who rules the area has turned to the pursuit of eternity.
Throughout the adventure in Inazuma, players will be able to explore the unique cultural landscapes, stories, secrets, and historical connections to Inazuma and the Electro Archon on each of the different islands, as well as the answers to eternity from the Electro Archon herself.”
The new Inazuma region comes with three new playable characters, starting with the most-hyped character from the Genshin Community, Kamisato Ayaka. A 5-star character that uses swords with a Cryo element at her disposal.
Yoimiya is another 5-star pyro-bow user joining the update, along with Sayu, a 4-star ninja character ‘who wields an Anemo Vision’.
During the update, you will also discover various new puzzle-solving gameplay, as well as new bosses and loots to collect including “The Hypostasis” and the “Perpetual Mechanical Array.” Maguu Kenki will also be found as a World Boss and a source for Character Level-Up Materials in Inazuma.
miHoYo says that more areas, stories, characters, and seasonal events will be added as the game progresses and also added that the game will have more detailed character shading. The most-awaited cross-save function in which allows players to play with their data on multiple platforms: PlayStation 4 & 5, PC, and Mobile will also be present in the update.
Genshin Impact is a free-to-play gacha game available on Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. For the time being, a rumored Switch version is reportedly in the works.
