MANILA, Philippines — HONOR Philippines kicks off 2026 early with a release date announcement for the brand's upcoming durability-focused smartphone, the HONOR X9d, in the country.
Having first teased late December 2025 on the brand's social media channels, HONOR has been demonstrating the toughness of its upcoming mid-range handset in a set of short-form videos. From the phone being wrapped with fireworks to an unbreakable match with a Tesla Cybertruck, the HONOR X9d's ability to withstand pressure is a no-brainer — making it the brand's toughest phone to date.
For the unaware, the HONOR X9d first debuted in Malaysia. With a battery capacity of 8,300mAh and a 6.79-inch 120Hz display, it boasts a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage. Other key specifications include a 108MP main camera, joined by a 5MP ultra-wide and a 16MP selfie camera.
Although not confirmed, it is speculated that the Philippine model will use the same specifications as the one in Malaysia, but releases per region may vary. That said, the phone arrives January 9 in the Philippines, which may be up in shelves late January.
