Huawei Nova 8i unveiled: Snapdragon 662, 64MP Quad Cam, and 66W charging

Chinese smartphone maker Huawei adds another member to the Nova 8 lineup.

The Huawei Nova 8i boasts a 6.67-inch Full HD Display, (dubbed as an “Edgeless Display” by Huawei) with a pill-shaped cut-out on the upper left side of the screen housing the 16MP front-facing shooter, while the back panel of the device sports a total of four cameras with 64MP acting as the primary shooter, alongside an 8MP camera for the ultra-wide sensor, as well as 2MP for the macro and depth sensors. Huawei also adds that the back cover has a 4D curvature in which “delivers precision-engineered rounded edges, for an ultra-smooth touch”.

You get a Snapdragon 662 SoC inside, with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. It runs on EMUI 11 based on Android 10 (and still no Google services). Other key specs include: a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 4,300mAh battery, which the company says can go from 0% to 60% in just 17 minutes, and can fully charge it for up to 38 minutes with the bundled 66W charger.

The Huawei Nova 8i is now open for pre-orders in 8GB/128GB storage configuration for MYR1,299 (~roughly PHP 15.5K) which can be sold directly through the company’s online store, and is available in three colors: Moonlight Silver, Interstellar Blue, and Starry Black.
