Oppo unveils another contender as the A93s 5G joins the midrange lineup.
Wait, it’s actually a buffed variant over the last year’s A93 5G (That’s right, the one without the “s”) since the main difference between the two models is the chipset. Other than that, everything else is… pretty much the same.
So you get a 6.5-inch Full HD display, a 90Hz refresh rate in the LCD panel, and a punch-hole cut-out on the front that houses the 8MP selfie shooter. Around the back is a 48MP primary camera alongside 2MP depth and macro lenses, which makes it a triple-camera setup. This is the exact same thing we’ve seen on the A93 5G. The design is what makes it different, and yes, the chipset.
Under the hood, there’s a Dimensity 700 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Furthermore, it runs on ColorOS 11 with Android 11 on top and it weighs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W wired charging tech. There’s also a 9V/2A charger out-of-the-box.
The Oppo A93s 5G is currently available in three colorways, it will go on sale on July 30. It will be priced at CNY1,999 (~roughly PHP 15.5K) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.
