Oppo launches Reno6 5G and Reno6 Pro 5G in India

Oppo earlier unveiled the Reno6 and Reno6 Pro 5G in India, making them the newest members of the Reno family.

If you don’t know, the Oppo Reno6 series was initially launched back in May in China and it comes in three variants: Oppo Reno6 5G, Oppo Reno6 Pro 5G, and Oppo Reno6 Pro+ 5G. However, you remove the Pro+ then you get two models that just got launched in India.

Let’s start with the vanilla Reno6 5G. It is built around a 6.43-inch Full HD display with a 90Hz refresh rate in an AMOLED panel and 180Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 900, accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

It has a triple-camera setup attached to the back that consists of a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 2MP macro shooter. On the front is a 32MP selfie camera housed in a centered punch-hole cutout.

The Oppo Reno6 is backed by a 4,300mAh battery that supports 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 wired charging. Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, a multi-cooling system, as well as a system booster.

Unlike the Reno6 5G, the Pro-version sports a slightly larger 6.55-inch Full HD display in a curved AMOLED panel. It still has the aforementioned 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. Inside is the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, accompanied by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Camera-wise, the Reno6 Pro 5G offers a quad-cam setup including the same three sensors as the original variant alongside an additional 2MP mono shooter with a temperature sensor while there’s the same 32MP selfie shooter on the front.

The Oppo Reno6 Pro carries a larger 4,500mAh battery with the same 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 wired charging tech.

Both devices run on ColorOS 11.3 based on Android 11.

The Oppo Reno6 5G and the Reno6 Pro 5G are now available in the Indian market. The vanilla Reno6 is priced at INR 29,990 (~roughly PHP 20.2K) while the Pro-version is priced at INR 39,990 (~roughly PHP 27K). There’s no need of rushing the availability of the device locally since they are slated to arrive very soon in the Philippines, as per OPPO’s website.
