ASUS ROG Phone 5s series with Snapdragon 888+ unveiled

ASUS earlier today announced another option in addition to the ROG Phone lineup — the ROG Phone 5s and 5s Pro.

Instead of using the standard Snapdragon 888, both two phones use the latest Snapdragon 888+. It uses the same Adreno 660 GPU but with an upgraded clock speed of up to 3.0GHz. Other than that, the processor comes with an upgraded AI Engine with a 20 percent boost in performance.

When it comes to displays, both two phones boast a 6.78-inch FHD Samsung AMOLED E4 display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, buttery 144Hz refresh rates, HDR10+ support, and an In-Display fingerprint sensor. The Pro model only features a color PMOLED screen on the back along with two rear touch sensors for gaming.

Both devices also use an upgraded 360Hz touch response rate coming from 300Hz.

There’s not a lot to talk about since the two new devices only feature a slight overhaul, which is pretty much the same. Moreover, both are equipped with a 6,000mAh battery, 65W fast charging, USB Type-C, 64MP tri-cam setup with 13MP ultra-wide, and 5MP macro lenses, and 24MP selfie shooter.

In the Philippines, the original ROG Phone 5 starts at PHP 39,995.

There are no official Philippine prices yet as of the moment. Stay tuned for more updates.
