MediaTek unveils the Dimensity 920 and Dimensity 810 for mid-rangers

MediaTek has just announced the launch of two new SoC options, the Dimensity 920 and Dimensity 810. Both SoCs come with octa-core CPUs, support for Full HD displays, 120Hz refresh rates, 5G connectivity, and more.

NEW SOLUTIONS FOR MID-RANGERS

Starting with the first one, the Dimensity 810 SoC offers Arm Cortex-A76 cores clocked up to 2.4Ghz coupled with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and has support for LPDDR4X memory and UFS 2.2 storage. It has the HyperEngine 2.0 solution for gaming, as well as support for buttery 120Hz displays in Full HD resolution and up to 64MP cameras. Other features include AI-color and AI-bokeh enhancements for the cameras, 5G connectivity with up to 2CC Carrier Aggregation, the latest VoNR services, and a dedicated facial recognition engine.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, the Dimensity 920 boasts a more powerful performance, which consists of Arm Cortex-A78 cores clocked up to 2.5Ghz and an efficiency-optimized Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. It has support for 120Hz Full HD displays, and it’s a slight, well, 9% overhaul over the Dimensity 900, as well as an ultra-fast LPDDR5 memory paired with UFS 3.1 for storage. The Dimensity 920 supports Dual 5G SIM connectivity, along with the latest VoNR services, and lastly, there’s a faster Wi-Fi 6 giving us more capabilities with better signal quality and efficiency.

Both Dimensity 810 and 920 are manufactured under TSMC’s 6nm fabrication process and are contemplated to arrive in smartphones this upcoming quarter.
