Apple iPhone 13 series launched: 120Hz displays, up to 1TB storage, enhanced cameras

Apple earlier today has launched the most-anticipated lineup of the year, the iPhone 13 series. It consists of the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

While the iPhone 13 and 13 mini are getting a storage bump of 128GB, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max also now comes with a maximum size of 1TB.

Appearance-wise, the iPhone 13 series are still using a similar design to the iPhone 12 but one of the main highlights here is the notch. The iPhone 13 series comes with a smaller notch compared to its predecessor, which is 20-percent smaller according to Apple.

The iPhone 13 series features a Super Retina XDR Display in an OLED panel, while the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max ones are equipped with an adaptive refresh rate that can be configured from as low as 10Hz to 120Hz max in which Apple calls ProMotion.

For displays, the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro Max brings 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively. Meanwhile, the iPhone 13 and 13 Mini comes with 6.1-inch and 5.4-inch displays. All iPhone 13 models get Ceramic Shield protection on top for another layer of flexibility.

The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini’s cameras are arranged diagonally while the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max will still have the same triple-cam layout that is comprised of telephoto, ultra-wide, and wide lenses. All iPhone 13 models come with cinematic mode especially for recording videos, along with Dolby Vision HDR.

In terms of performance, the iPhone 13 series is powered by the new A15 Bionic chip, a 6-core processor that has a size of 5nm. It comes with 2-core high-performance and 4-core high-efficiency cores. Apple also claims that the iPhone 13 Pro Max is an iPhone with the longest battery life.

Furthermore, the iPhone 13 series is 5G-ready. Other than that, the iPhone 13 series comes with enhanced Qi chargers and improved MagSafe capabilities with a larger coil in which improves the performance of the iPhone 13 lineup as well as reduces the charging time.

Pricing & Availability

The iPhone 13 mini starts at PHP 44,990 while the iPhone 13 starts at PHP 50,990, both models are comprised of three storage options: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB and sport five colorways: Pink, Blue, Midnight, Starlight, and Red.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 13 Pro starts at PHP 50,990, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max starts at PHP 63,990. Both models are comprised of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB and are available in four colorways: Sierra Blue, Silver, Gold, and Graphite.

The iPhone 13 is now available on the local Apple website, however, pre-orders are not open yet. There’s no announcement yet regarding its PH release, but we’ll keep you updated as soon as we get new info.

In the United States, the iPhone 13 series will be available for pre-orders starting this Friday, September 17th, and will arrive on-hand starting September 24th.
