Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 premieres this fall

Hit anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is slated to premiere the second season of the franchise this fall and winter and will be split in two continuous cours.

The official website of the anime finally revealed that the series will broadcast from 11:15 PM every Sunday night. Albeit, there’s no specific mention of the release date. However, there will be a follow-up announcement that will take place on Saturday, September 25th, which will reveal more details regarding the series.

Premiere dates aside, the second season will air with unedited anime episodes. On the other hand, Fuji TV will also air an unedited version of the movie “Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train”. There have been speculations that an announcement will most likely take place after the movie’s broadcast.

There have been reports that the series were scheduled late-night broadcast (could be) due to the sensitivity of the topic of the most-awaited season of the franchise. Rest assured, the media company’s manager is confident enough that the production has gone through a proper review and met the standards. Thus, its episodes will air without any censorships to the original story.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is a popular adaptation of the hit manga series of the same title. Written and Illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge, the manga has amassed more than 150 million sold copies since it was first serialized in 2016.
