HiSense U50 is a 2GB RAM phone in Mexico in 2021

HiSense has announced an entry-level handset in Mexico — the HiSense U50. It comes with a SC7731E chip, 32GB ROM 4,100mAh battery. Hmmm, seems (pretty) late to the party.

The HiSense U50 has a small-but-compact 6.08-inch HD display with a U-shaped notch on top, which houses the 5MP selfie shooter. Around the back, you get a triangular camera layout which is similar to the iPhone 12 series. The tri-cam setup is comprised of an 8MP primary shooter, a 2MP sensor, and what appears to be a CIF.

As for the fingerprint sensor, no, it does not have one. However, to make things fair, it has a facial recognition. Inside, you get a UNISOC SC7731E processor which is underwhelming these days, knowing that this chip is very old. It is coupled with 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM, and of course, the latest standard Android 11 software.

The HiSense U50 comes with a 4,100mAh non-removable battery, and has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The hanset retails for MXN 2,699 (~PHP 6.7K) in Mexico.
