OPPO K9 Pro 5G now official with Dimensity 1200 chip, 120Hz Display, 60W charging

OPPO earlier today unveils a flagship version of the OPPO K9 5G — the OPPO K9 Pro 5G. It features a similar design comparable to the vanilla model but comes with a Dimensity 1200 chip, 120Hz AMOLED display, 60W charging, and more.

To begin with, the OPPO K9 Pro boasts a large 6.43-inch Full HD display in an AMOLED panel. It has a resolution of 2400 x 1080 and comes with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate for a more fluid experience. Other than that, it features a hundred DCI-P3 support, along with sRGB, HDR10, and 800-nits peak brightness.

Powering the OPPO K9 Pro is MediaTek’s latest flagship processor to date, the Dimensity 1200. The chip is comprised of one “Ultra-core”, a Cortex-A78 clocked at 3Ghz. It also comes with a regular Cortex-A78 and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked at 2.6Ghz and 2.0Ghz respectively. Moreover, it packs a 4,500mAh battery with 60W fast charging and a USB-C port. It also runs on Android 11 with ColorOS 11.3. Additionally, there’s also a heat dissipation system to keep the phone from being hot.

For cameras, there’s a row of three cameras at the back, housed in a square bump layout with a large gap to keep the branding printed in a military font. The triple-camera setup consists of a 64MP main sensor in the middle, while there’s an 8MP ultra-wide shooter on top of it as well as a 2MP macro lens below. For selfies, there’s a 16MP front-facing shooter on the upper left corner of the screen.

The OPPO K9 Pro 5G is available in two memory configurations: the 8/128GB option retails for CNY2,199 (~roughly PHP 17.4K) while the 12/256GB option, on the other hand, sells out for CNY2,699 (~roughly PHP 21.4K). It will hit the Chinese market starting September 30.
