Pixel 6 Pro hands-on leak confirms glossy back, Tensor specs

M. Brandon Lee of ThisIsTechToday earlier today reveals a hands-on leak of the upcoming Pixel 6 Pro.

Google’s Pixel 6 series is one of the most ambitious phones we’ll be getting this year. Just a few weeks ago, Google revealed the teaser trailer of the upcoming Pixel 6 lineup, it confirms the debut of the custom-made Tensor chip, official renders, Android 12’s Material You design, and more.

Now, as mentioned earlier, a Pixel 6 Pro hands-on leak surfaced online, thanks to M. Brandon Lee of ThisIsTechToday, this is the first time we’ll be seeing real-world images and videos of the lineup.

As seen above, the leaked images showcase the front and the back of the device. The first photo suggests that the hardware is most likely to feature a glossy design. Albeit, the handset is more of a prototype, as it is clearly indicated the lack of the Google logo at the back.

We can see the bar on the back that houses the triple-camera setup, the curved sides on both images, as well as the appearance of the punch-hole cut-out on the front. Obviously, it also confirms that the phone will ship Android 12 out-of-the-box.

Apart from the leaked renders, the leaker also shared an image of the phone running CPU-Z, revealing the specifications of Google’s custom-made Tensor chip that it will come with two of Cortex-X1 cores, Arm’s most powerful Cortex CPU to date, in which we haven’t seen on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 nor the Samsung Exynos 2100.

The Google Pixel 6 series is slated to launch this fall.
