Alongside the Realme 8s 5G and Realme Pad, Realme has also announced the Realme 8i in the Indian market. It features a 120Hz Full HD display, a Helio G96 chip, and a 50MP primary camera.
Appearance-wise, the Realme 8i is built around a shiny finish and sports two colors in Space Purple and Space Black. It has a tri-cam setup housed in a square camera bump along with an LED flash, and a punch-hole cut-out for the selfie shooter.
For the display, the Realme 8i features a 6.6-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2412 x 1080, smooth 120Hz refresh rates, and a 90.8 screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, you get a 12nm MediaTek Helio G96 SoC, along with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The chip is coupled with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery cell with 18W fast charging tech.
For cameras, it has a triple-camera setup that is comprised of a 50MP primary camera, 2MP for monochrome and macro sensors whereas a 16MP is present for the selfie camera.
Additionally, you get 5GB virtual RAM on both 4GB and 6GB memory configurations, which gives you a total of either 9GB or 11GB. The Realme 8i runs on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 out-of-the-box. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, headphone jack, dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, and other flagship essentials.
The Realme 8i retails for INR 13,999 (~PHP 9.5K) for the 4/64GB variant, while INR 15,999 (~PHP 11K) for the 6/128GB RAM one. First sales start on September 14th in India.
