TCL has added another budget-friendly 5G smartphone to the 20 series — the TCL 20 R. The phone packs a Dimensity 700 processor, 90Hz display, and 13MP primary camera.
The TCL 20 R is built around a smooth 90Hz 6.52-inch HD display, it comes with a 180Hz touch response rate, and has a resolution of 1600 x 720. Under the hood is the standard 4,500mAh battery that powers the device, along with 10W fast charging tech, allowing the battery to charge conveniently.
Inside is the main highlight of the handset as it sports a Dimensity 700 5G chip, with a Mali-G57 GPU. The processor is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with a microSD slot for further expansion.

As for the cameras, there’s a 13MP primary camera joined by two 2MP sensors, which makes it a tri-cam setup although the front camera was not mentioned. Around the back, you also get a fingerprint sensor for another layer of security.
Software-wise, TCL promises three years of quarterly security patches and a guaranteed upgrade to the Android 12. The phone comes with Android 11 with TCL UI on top.
The TCL 20 R will hit select European markets at the end of September. It will retail for EUR 179 (~Php 10.6K) in the Netherlands this October. Price and availability outside the country remains unknown.
