Xiaomi Pad 5 arrives in the Philippines

Xiaomi earlier tonight announced the arrival of its flagship tablet in the Philippines — the Xiaomi Pad 5. It sports a Snapdragon 860 chip, a large 11-inch display, and an 8,720mAh battery.

For starters, the Xiaomi Pad 5 boasts an enormous 11-inch WQXGA+ display with an accompanying smooth 120Hz refresh rate support, DCI-P3, Dolby Vision, and True Display tech. In addition, it also comes with a whopping amount of 1 billion colors, built-in low blue light hardware, and blue light reduction software tech.

Under the hood, the huge tablet is powered by a Snapdragon 860 processor. It comes with an Adreno 640 GPU, and opts in for 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. There’s also a large 8,720mAh battery inside coupled with 22.5W fast charging tech and a USB Type-C port.

For cameras, the Xiaomi Pad 5 comes with a 13MP main cam with a dual-tone LED flash and an 8MP camera on the front. Other than that, the tablet also features quad speakers, Hi-Res Audio, Dolby Atmos, and Xiaomi Smart Pen support.

The tablet runs on Android 11 with MIUI for Pad 12.5 on top.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 is available in two storage configurations: the 128GB option retails for PHP 17,990 while the 256GB one sells out for PHP 19,990.

Buyers are entitled to an early bird price of PHP 14,990 and a FREE Xiaomi Smart Pen for the 128GB option, exclusively through Xiaomi Official Global Store on Lazada on September 24th.

The tablet will hit authorized stores nationwide by October 1st.
