POCO M4 Pro 5G unveiled: Dimensity 810 chip, 50MP cam, and more

POCO is back changing the game with another contender from the company — meet the POCO M4 Pro 5G. It highlights the Dimensity 810 chip, as well as a 50MP main with ultra-wide cameras, and more.

Could this be your next budget 5G phone?

Compared to its predecessor, the POCO M4 Pro 5G brings a brand new design to the table. It comes with a new set of cameras, however, it seems to be lacking a third camera, well, that’s 50MP for you. For starters, the device comes equipped with a slightly larger 6.6-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display, under the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It has a 90Hz refresh rate, AdaptiveSync, DCI-P3 color accuracy, and 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Under the hood is the aforementioned Dimensity 810 chip by MediaTek. It comes manufactured under a fabrication process of 6nm, clocked at 2.4Ghz and it comes with dual 5G support, coupled with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. Moreover, it runs on Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 out-of-the-box with Dynamic RAM expansion tech and more.

Keeping the lights on is the 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging tech through a USB-C port, which the company claims can be juiced up from flat 0 to 100 percent in just an hour, 59 minutes to be precise, according to a report from GIZGUIDE.

For cameras, it only comes with a dual set of cameras attached at the back of the phone, and it’s not what it looks like. The dual-camera setup consists of a 50MP primary paired with an 8MP 119-degree ultra-wide-angle sensor. It’s not that bad but you can still take benefit from the other 3 holes by showing them off to your friends.

The POCO M4 Pro 5G is available in two memory configurations: the 4/64 option retails for PHP 11,990 (PHP 10,990 flash sale price) while the 6/128 one sells out for around PHP 12,990 (PHP 11,990 flash sale price). It will be available starting on November 11 at Shopee.
