OnePlus Nord CE 2 goes official with Dimensity 900 chip, 65W charging

OnePlus today has launched the Nord CE 2, a mid-range handset that highlights the Dimensity 900 chip, 65W charging, and more. The CE stands for Core Edition.

To begin with, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 packs a 6.43-inch Fluid AMOLED display in Full HD, 2400 x 1080 resolution. It has a 90Hz refresh rate with HDR10+ support and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Performance-wise, the Nord CE 2 is powered with a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. The chip is coupled with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage with an expandable microSD slot up to 1TB. It runs on Android 11 with Oxygen OS on top.

Furthermore, the handset sports a set of three cameras on the back, consisting of a 64MP primary, alongside 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro camera modules with LED flash while on the front, you get a 16MP selfie snapper.

Powering the device is a 4,500mAh battery with 65W SUPERVOOC fast charging tech. Other features include, an in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack, and more.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is available in Gray Mirror and Bahama Blue. It retails for GBP 299 (~roughly PHP 20.9K) and will open sales in India starting February 22.
