Realme 9 Pro series announced

Realme has recently launched the 9 Pro series in India. Meet — the 9 Pro and 9 Pro+, a mid-range duo that highlights up to 64MP cameras, 6nm chipsets, and more!

The Realme 9 Pro+

First off, the Realme 9 Pro+ packs an enormous 6.4-inch display in AMOLED panel, with a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. It has an FHD+ resolution, comprised of 2400 x 1080px with an In-Display fingerprint scanner.

There’s also a punch-hole cut-out on the upper left corner of the screen which houses the 16MP f/2.4 selfie snapper. It comes with various photography functions such as, Portrait Mode and supports 1080p at 30 fps video recording.

The main highlight of this mid-range handset is the 50MP f/1.8 triple-camera setup with Sony IMX766 OIS sensor on the rear, alongside 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle and 2MP f/2.4 macro camera modules.

Inside the 9 Pro+ is the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G chipset, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It has a 6nm fabrication process 6nm, with a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU and Vapor Chamber cooling system to keep the performance in check. It also runs on the latest Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12.

Furthermore, the 9 Pro+ has a large 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging tech, and a USB Type-C port. Other than that, the handset comes with an audio jack, dual stereo speakers powered by Dolby, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, and an X-axis linear motor.

The Realme 9 Pro+ in Aurora Green

The Realme 9 Pro+ sports three colorways, ranging from Sunrise Blue to Aurora Green and sells out for INR 24,999 (~roughly PHP 17.2K) for the 6/128GB variant, INR 26,999 (~roughly PHP 18.6K) for the 8/128GB variant, and INR 28,999 (~roughly PHP 20K) for the 8/256GB variant.

Open sales will start on February 21st in India.

The Realme 9 Pro

Meanwhile, the Realme 9 Pro, on the other hand, packs a slightly larger 6.6-inch display with a smoother 120Hz refresh rate though it completely loses the 9 Pro+’s AMOLED panel. It also has an FHD+ resolution comprised of 2412 x 1080px with a 240Hz touch sampling rate and a punch-hole cut-out.

In terms of cameras, the 9 Pro also has its own highlight, featuring a more-detailed 64MP f/1.79 triple-camera setup, alongside 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle and 2MP f/2.4 macro camera modules, while on the front, you get a 16MP selfie snapper.

Realme 9 Pro’s highlights

Under the hood is the 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It has an Adreno 619 GPU and also runs on the latest Android 12 with Realme UI 3.0 on top.

Moreover, the 9 Pro offers a bigger 5,000mAh battery but with a toned-down 33W fast charging tech. Other features include, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C, audio jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a microSD slot.

The Realme 9 Pro also arrives in Sunrise Blue, Aurora Green, and Midnight Black colors, and comes in two memory configurations: the 6/128GB model sells out for INR 17,999 (~roughly PHP 12.4K) while the 8/128GB model retails for INR 20,999 (~roughly PHP 14.4K).

Open sales will start on February 23rd in India.
