Xiaomi has silently launched the 2022 version of last year’s Redmi 10. It’s basically the same phone, with minor changes, as well as added NFC compatibility.
The Redmi 10 2022 offers a 6.5-inch FHD DotDisplay with a 90Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has a punch-hole cut-out that houses the 8MP front camera. On the back, you get a 50MP quad-cam setup, alongside 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensors.
Inside is the MediaTek Helio G88 chip, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, it runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 and has support for NFC, IR Blaster, and more. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port with a fingerprint scanner on the side.
Powering the budget handset is a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging tech. It comes with a 22.5W in-box charger and 9W reverse wired charging tech.
The pricing and availability of the Redmi 10 2022 is yet to be revealed. It comes in three colors including Carbon Gray, Pebble White, and Sea Blue, and is available in two memory configurations, although it was mentioned on the landing page that variations vary between regions.
