Samsung launches Galaxy A03, 48MP dual-cam phone for under PHP 6K

Samsung has announced the arrival of the Galaxy A03s successor in the country, the Galaxy A03. It is the company’s latest installment to the entry-level segment that features a 48MP dual camera setup under PHP 6K.

Samsung’s newest budget-friendly device in town.

For starters, the Samsung Galaxy A03 is an entry-level smartphone boasting a 6.5-inch HD display in a TFT LCD panel. It comes with a V-shaped notch that houses the 5MP selfie shooter and has a soft matte material on the back.

While it may seem outdated at first, there’s actually a reason to get this device and that’s where its highlight comes in. The Galaxy A03 actually uses a 48MP (+ 2MP for the depth) dual camera setup under PHP 6K. Pretty unusual, right? Usually, entry-level phones these days only come with a 13MP camera, be it dual or triple, and this is what they lack. Well, it’s a camera phone, after all, considering that reasonable amount of megapixels. (It still depends on people’s preferences, in any case.)

Galaxy A03 specs

Under the hood, it comes with an unspecified processor. Albeit, the clock speed (1.6Ghz) suggests that it could be the SC9863A chip by UNISOC but that’s just a speculation. Other than that, it comes in three storage configurations: the 3GB + 32GB, 3GB + 64GB, and the 4GB + 128GB models.

Furthermore, keeping the lights on is an all-day 5,000mAh battery, with an integrated Dolby Atmos support for a cinematic experience, as well as a microSD slot expandable up to 1TB that can be expanded as a movie library for all movie aficionados.

The Samsung Galaxy A03 retails for PHP 5,490 for the 3GB + 32GB model, while PHP 6,490 for the 3GB + 64GB model and PHP 7,490 for the 4GB + 128GB one. Buyers are entitled to a FREE 1 year Viu subscription via RMS for all models, the promo ends on March 31, 2022. Act quickly as this is a limited-time promo and will expire soon.
