Samsung has announced the most-awaited Galaxy S22 series during the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event, along with the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup, and one of them features a notch!
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has a notch on a tablet
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra offers everything you could ask for a tablet. It brings flagship-esque specs to the table and is the latest and the most-powerful Galaxy Tab S to date. This giant crown jewel is boasting a massive 14.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2960 x 1848, and comes with 120Hz refresh rate, and a notch.
Display aside, the Tab S8 Ultra is equipped with dual cameras on both front and back. The front uses 12MP sensors — regular and ultra-wide camera modules while the back uses 13MP for the main and a 6MP ultra-wide sensor. It also has a quad stereo speaker setup tuned by AKG and an In-Display fingerprint scanner.
All Tab S8 models come with S Pen.
Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 octa-core chip powers the latest Tab S8 series, it is the most-powerful chip yet to date along with the Adreno 730 GPU. Memory and storage configurations vary for each model, the vanilla Tab S8 and Tab S8+ max out at 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage while the Tab S8 Ultra max out at 16GB of RAM with up to 512GB of onboard storage.
The Tab S8 Ultra has a large 11,200mAh battery while the vanilla Tab S8, comes with an 8,000mAh battery, the Tab S8+, on the other hand, comes with a 11,200mAh battery. All Tab S8 models come with 45W fast charging tech though the charger is sold separately.
The Galaxy Tab S8 and Tab S8+
The Tab S8 packs an enormous 11-inch LTPS TFT display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 while the Tab S8 Ultra packs a slightly-large 12.4-inch Super AMOLED display with 2800 x 1752 resolution. Both tablets support 120Hz refresh rate.
The vanilla Tab S8 opts in for a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, while the Tab S8 Plus retains the In-Display type. Both tablets come with 12MP ultra-wide selfie snappers, and 13MP main and 6MP ultra-wide rear camera modules.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is available in two memory configurations: 8/128GB for PHP 41,990 and 12/256GB for PHP 49,990, the Tab S8+ only comes in 8/256GB for PHP 63,990 while the Tab S8 Ultra only comes in 12/256GB for PHP 77,990.
