Honor X40i debuts with Dimensity 700 chip, 50MP dual-cam

Chinese phone maker Honor continues to expand its portfolio as the brand makes the Honor X40i official today in China. It is a mid-range smartphone featuring an attractive design, packed with powerful internals at an aggressive price.

The Honor X40i offers an enormous 6.7-inch Full HD+ LTPS display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate and slim bezels. It has a punch-hole cut-out housing the 8MP selfie snapper and an elegant back motif, featuring the dual-camera setup, consisting of a 50MP main and 2MP depth sensors.

Under the hood is a Dimensity 700 chip, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 12-based Magic UI 6.1 out of the box and comes equipped with a fairly-sized 4,000mAh battery that charges at 40W through USB-C. The rest include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, and 5G connectivity.

Pricing & Availability

The Honor X40i comes in Black, Silver, Green, and Rose Pink colors and is available in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB models, which are priced at CNY 1,599 (~roughly PHP 13.3K) and CNY 1,999 (~roughly PHP 16.7K) respectively. Open sales will begin on July 22 in China.
