Indian smartphone maker Lava has announced its latest smartphone and it’s the Lava Blaze. It’s an aggressively-priced phone that has a glass material on the back, despite its entry-level capabilities, which makes you question its durability considering its price tag.
The Lava Blaze boasts a 6.5-inch HD+ display on an LCD panel. It features a dewdrop notch featuring an 8MP selfie shooter with face unlock. Around the back is a 13MP triple-camera setup sitting next to two 2MP auxiliary camera modules near the fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage with a dedicated microSD slot for further expansion. The RAM can be expanded virtually up to 3GB and runs on the aforementioned Android 12 with 2 years of security patches.
The Lava Blaze packs a large 5,000mAh that charges at 10W through a USB Type-C port. The phone comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and an FM Radio receiver. Here’s the exciting part, if you happen to crack the display due to an accident, Lava will replace it for free in the first 100 days of ownership.
Pricing & Availability
The Lava Blaze is now open for pre-orders on the official site and will go on sale on July 14. It carries a price tag of INR 8,699 (~roughly PHP 6.1K) and offers four colorways: Glass Green, Glass Red, Glass Black, and Glass Blue.
