narzo goes independent from realme, releases narzo 50 5G and 50 Pro 5G in the Philippines

narzo, a realme sub-brand, has now gone independent with two new smartphone releases in the Philippines and it’s the narzo 50 5G and 50 Pro 5G.

narzo 50 5G

First up is the narzo 50 5G. It is the vanilla model in the lineup boasting a 6.6-inch Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It has a notch for the 8MP front-facing camera and comes equipped with a dual-camera setup consisting of 48MP main and 2MP depth units on the back.

Powering the narzo 50 5G is a Dimensity 810 chip, paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage with a dedicated microSD slot expandable to 256GB. The phone packs a big 5,000mAh battery that charges at 33W and runs on Android 12-based realme UI 3.0. Other key features include dual stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, USB-C, and Hi-Res Audio.

What comes next is the narzo 50 Pro 5G. It is the Pro model which sports a smaller 6.43-inch Full HD+ display but comes with a better AMOLED panel and a punch-hole cut-out for the 16MP selfie snapper. It has a 90Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate and comes equipped with a set of three cameras on the back, consisting of a 48MP main alongside 8MP 119.7-degree ultra-wide and 2MP sensors.

Under the hood, the narzo 50 Pro 5G is powered by the Dimensity 920 chip, coupled with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It retains the 5,000mAh with 33W charging inside but uses an in-display fingerprint sensor with heart rate monitor and vapor chamber cooling system. The phone also runs on realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12. Other key features include Wi-Fi 6, 5G SA/NSA connectivity, stereo speakers, and a USB-C port.

Pricing & Availability

The narzo 50 5G carries a price tag of PHP 12,990 (PHP 10,999 introductory price) in 6GB + 128GB configuration while the narzo 50 Pro 5G sells out for PHP 15,999 (PHP 13,999 introductory price) in 8GB + 128GB configuration. Both phones come in Hyper Black and Hyper Blue colors and will be on sale on July 15.
