The much-anticipated Realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition has now gone official. It was unveiled earlier today in China and is currently the brand’s first smartphone to come equipped with the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, despite being used by several flagship phones in the market. It is also the first to sport a 100W fast charging tech from the Chinese phone maker.
The GT 2 Explorer Master Edition boasts an enormous 6.7-inch AMOLED display in Full HD+ resolution. It has a 120Hz refresh rate, with 10-bit colors, a 100-percent DCI-P3 color gamut, and HDR10+ support. One of the key highlights of this crown jewel is the leather material on the back.
Aside from that, it features a punch-hole cut-out with slim bezels. The display also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor, an X7 graphic chip for ultra-low latency frame insertion, and two pressure-sensitive shoulder buttons
The latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 powers the device. The phone packs up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and uses 20% less power than the standard LPDDR5 one. For the onboard storage, it comes with up to 256GB ROM with UFS 3.1. The device also has a heat dissipation system, thanks to its dual vapor chamber liquid cooling system.
In terms of cameras, the GT 2 Master Explorer Edition comes with a triple-camera setup, consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX 766 main sensor with OIS alongside 50MP 150° ultra-wide and 2MP 40x microscope camera units. While on the front is a 16MP selfie snapper.
Keeping the lights on is a large 5,000mAh battery with a 100W fast charging tech that charges the phone full in just 25 minutes. Other key features include Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0, 5G connectivity, NFC, a USB-C port, and an audio jack.

The Realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition comes in Black, White, and Gold colors and is available in three memory configurations: the 8GB + 128GB model retails for CNY 3,499 (~roughly PHP 29.3K), while the other 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB models retail for CNY 3,799 (~roughly PHP 31.8K), and CNY 3,999 (~roughly PHP 33.4K) respectively.
