Chinese phone maker Lenovo has launched the Legion Y70 during an event in China and it is currently the brand’s latest gaming smartphone to date. It has gaming-esque features, and of course, the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1.

Launched alongside the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022, the Legion Y70 packs an enormous 6.67-inch display in Full HD+ resolution. It has a fluid 144Hz refresh rate and comes with support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and a 1,000-nits peak brightness.
Powering the gaming handset is the powerful Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It has a vapor chamber cooling system inside, along with a 10-layer heat dissipation mechanism that keeps the device cool at all times. The phone runs on Android 12-based ZUI 14, and offers a 5,100mAh battery that charges at 68W.
In terms of cameras, the Legion Y70 comes equipped with a triple-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 50MP main, alongside 13MP ultra-wide and 2MP depth sensors. On the front is a 16MP selfie snapper housed in a punch-hole cut-out.
Pricing & Availability
The Lenovo Legion Y70 is available in 8GB + 128GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 16GB + 512GB configurations, which retails for CNY 2,970 (~PHP 24.5K; US$ 437), CNY 3,370 (~PHP 27.8K; US$ 496), and CNY 4,270 (~PHP 35.2K; US$ 629) respectively. The phone comes in Ice White, Titanium Grey, and Flame Red colorways and will hit the Chinese market on August 22nd.
