Oppo Reno8 4G unveiled with Snapdragon 680 chip, AMOLED display

Chinese tech consumer company Oppo recently launched the Reno8 4G in Indonesia and it is currently the brand’s latest mid-range handset to date. It features a vivid display, with an efficient chipset, and a big battery.

For starters, the Oppo Reno8 4G sports a 6.43-inch Full HD+ display in an AMOLED panel. It has a fast 90Hz refresh rate and comes with a punch-hole cut-out on the upper left corner of the screen for the 32MP selfie camera.

Inside is the Snapdragon 680 chipset, aided by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The phone packs a 4,500mAh battery that charges at 33W through USB-C and runs on ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12.

Camera-wise, the new phone from Oppo features a triple-camera setup, consisting of a 64MP primary, 2MP micro, and 2MP depth units. Other features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, IPX4 certification, and an RGB ring light around the camera.

Pricing & Availability

The Oppo Reno8 4G is available in two colors: Dawnlight Gold and Starlight Black. It carries a price tag of IDR 4,999,000 (~PHP 18.8K; US$ 336) for the base 8GB + 256GB variant and is now open for pre-orders. Open sales begin on August 26.
