OPPO Philippines kicks off the year with the launch of its newest camera-centric phones in the country. Meet — the Reno8 5G and Reno8 Z 5G, the brand’s latest additions to the Reno lineup with triple cameras, vivid displays, and fast processors.

OPPO Reno8 5G
Dubbed the Portrait Expert, the Oppo Reno8 5G sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It has a 32MP selfie camera for the punch-hole cut-out and a triple-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 50MP main, 8MP depth, and 2MP macro camera units.
Under the hood, the Dimensity 1300 chip powers the device. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage with a dedicated microSD slot for further expansion. Other than that, the phone packs a 4,500mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC charging and runs on Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1.
OPPO Reno8 Z 5G
Meanwhile, the Reno8 Z 5G, on the other hand, features a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a punch-hole cut-out for the 16MP selfie snapper. Albeit, it also has the in-display fingerprint sensor but lacks the 90Hz refresh rate. Camera-wise, the phone uses a 64MP triple-camera setup, joined by 2MP depth and 2MP macro sensors, housed in a carved camera bump
Inside, the Reno8 Z 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G chip, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. The phone retains the same 4,500mAh battery but opts for a slower 33W fast charging tech. It also runs on Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1.
Pricing & Availability
The OPPO Reno8 5G comes in Shimmer Black and Shimmer Gold colors and carries a price tag of PHP 27,999 (~roughly US $492) for the base 8GB + 256GB trim while the Reno8 Z 5G is available in Starlight Black and Dawnlight Gold and retails for PHP 19,999 (~roughly US $351) in 8GB + 128GB model.
Both phones are now open for pre-orders on the brand’s partner channels and online stores such as Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
