Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi earlier today has brought another entry-level smartphone to its portfolio and it is the Redmi 12C. The new handset features the Helio G85 chip, a 50MP camera, and more.
The Redmi 12C offers a 6.71-inch HD+ display with an interesting design on the back. It is equipped with a 50MP dual-camera layout reminiscent of the Mi 11 series — there’s no info yet about its secondary camera unit but it is speculated to be a depth sensor, as per GSMArena’s report. That aside, this thing still uses notch and has a 5MP shooter for the selfie camera.
Powering the Redmi 12C is a Helio G85 chipset, paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage, and runs on an “exclusive optimized version” of MIUI 13. The phone also has a microSD slot that expands up to 512GB and a 5,000mAh battery. Other features include: an audio jack and a microUSB port.
