OPPO Reno 8 T launched with leather-like texture and 100MP camera

Chinese tech consumer brand OPPO kicks off the year with the company’s latest installment to the Reno lineup. Meet — the Reno 8 T, a mid-range handset featuring an overall captivating design, a robust camera setup, and a vivid AMOLED display.

The brand-new OPPO Reno 8 T is touting a compact 6.43-inch Full HD+ display in an AMOLED panel. It has a 90Hz refresh rate with an SGS Eye Care protection and a punch-hole cut out on the upper left side of the screen that houses the 32MP selfie camera ideal for detailed portraits.

Despite having a substantial selfie sensor, what really makes the Reno 8 T special is that its 100MP primary sensor, which is a first in the Reno series, sitting next to a 2MP depth lens and a 2MP microlens with 40x magnification, which is also a first in the lineup.

The highlight of the new phone from OPPO still goes on as the Reno 8 T comes with an interesting-yet-captivating back panel, a color-exclusive fiberglass leather texture, and a personalized Orbit Light effect that changes per user’s preference.

Keeping the device up and running is a 5,000mAh battery with a 33W SUPERVOOC fast-charging tech. There’s also the Helio G99 processor that’s taking everything in the process, backed by 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

Pricing & Availability

The OPPO Reno 8 T sports two colors, ranging from the Sunset Orange with the leather-feel and the standard Midnight Black. It carries a price tag of PHP 18,999 (~roughly US $346) and is now open for pre-orders until February 18 in the Philippines with a free pair of OPPO Enco Buds2 TWS earphones worth PHP 1,999 (~roughly US $36).
