ChatGPT gets a standalone app for iPhones, albeit available only in certain regions

American AI research firm OpenAI recently launched a standalone mobile app of its popular AI chatbot ChatGPT for iOS devices. The free-to-use mobile app introduces a variety of features including history synchronization across devices, a speech-recognition system called "Whisper", and exclusive access to GPT-4 capabilities for ChatGPT Plus subscribers. Plus subscribers also get early access to features, and faster response times on the app.


The ChatGPT mobile app is now available for download on iPhones from the App Store although available only in certain countries at the moment. The rollout has already started in the US and more countries are to follow, including support for Android devices.
