Nubia unveils Red Magic 9 Pro White Special Edition

Nubia has announced a limited-edition model of the Red Magic 9 Pro to commemorate the Chinese New Year. The special colorway features an engraved dragon motif on the back with a standard white color theme that achieves a simple but classy aesthetic. The limited-edition variant comes with several themed accessories out of the box and carries a price tag of CNY 5,799 (~roughly US $812) for the 16GB + 512GB model. The gaming phone is now open for pre-orders and will hit the Chinese market on January 29.

To recap, the Red Magic 9 Pro offers a 6.8-inch FHD+ display in an OLED panel. The display carries support for the 120Hz refresh rate and has an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometrics. Inside the gaming phone from the Chinese brand is the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, accompanied by 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

In terms of cameras, the Red Magic 9 Pro uses a triple-camera setup, comprised of 50MP main OIS, 50MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro camera units while the front opts for a 16MP selfie sensor. Keeping the lights on is a 6,500mAh battery that charges at 80W. Other gaming-esque features include 520Hz shoulder buttons, ICE 13.0 Magic cooling system, 10 layers of heat dissipation, and a 10,182 sq. mm Vapor Chamber.
