South Korean tech brand Samsung has announced the One UI 6.1.1 update for the brand's recently released devices. The new update expands the latest Galaxy AI features to more Galaxy devices including the newly-launched Galaxy Z6 series: Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, the Galaxy S24 series, S23 series, S23 FE, Z5 series: Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series.
The update brings the following features from newer Galaxy models, to the said Galaxy phones and tablets, including:
- Interpreter - which offers Listening Mode, and one-way translation that can be used while listening to a presentation
- Chat Assist - which helps users draft emails and social media captions, along with Composer, which generates a full message from a few keywords based on tone and personal style for review.
- Suggested replies - previously only available on the Galaxy Z Flip6, will now be available on the Galaxy S24 series. It offers quick replies "from the wrist" when connected to the Galaxy Watch7 or Watch Ultra.
- Note Assist - which enables quick translations and summaries of time-consuming meeting notes
- PDF Overlay Translation - which helps users translate and overlay text in PDF files
- Sketch to Image - helps users enhance photos with their ideas through drawings
- Circle to Image - helps users generate Google search results quickly, and a newly-added Sound Search feature.
- Portrait Studio - which offers users create portraits in 3D cartoon or watercolor styles
- Instant Slow-mo - helps users "seamlessly" slow a video down while maintaining smooth image quality.
The One UI 6.1.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series has started rolling out in Korea while users in North America and Europe will receive the update on September 9. The update for other Galaxy devices and countries will be available in the coming weeks, as per the press release sent to us by the brand.
