Guinness Record holder HONOR X9c goes official in the Philippines
The brand's most durable addition to the HONOR X series finally goes official.
MANILA, Philippines — Smartphone giant HONOR has finally launched the brand's toughest smartphone (also the brand's latest Guinness World Record holder) to date — the HONOR X9c — in an online event on Saturday, January 10, 2025. The new smartphone from HONOR features durability-centric specifications in addition to the brand's rugged catalog.
The HONOR X9c sports a 6.78-inch display in an AMOLED panel. It has a 120Hz refresh rate, backed by the HONOR Anti-Drop technology, that is said to be able to withstand drops from heights of up to 2 meters as well as the IP65M rating for water and dust resistance.
The back features an astonishing marble-like material that has the circular camera bump in between for the dual rear camera that consists of a 108MP main with OIS and a 5MP wide sensor. On the front is a 16MP selfie camera.
Underneath the HONOR X9c is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, coupled with 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 6,600mAh battery that charges at 66W charging. The phone runs on Android 14-based Magic OS 8.0 and comes in three colorways: Titanium Purple, Titanium Black, and Jade Cyan.

The HONOR X9c sells out for PHP 16,999 for the 12GB + 256GB memory configuration. Pre-orders for the phone have already started until January 24. Customers who will buy during the pre-order phase are entitled to a free HONOR Gift Box and a chance to win a brand-new Rolex Datejust Watch worth PHP 600,000 (~roughly US $10.1K).
