HONOR X9c MagicOS 9.0 Update

The new update brings significant additions and improvements to the device, including Circle-to-Search.

MANILA, Philippines — Smartphone brand HONOR has rolled out the latest MagicOS 9.0 update on the HONOR X9c (BRP-NX1) on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The major update brings the Android 15 system to the X9c with a March 2025 security patch, new AI features — including Circle-to-Search (which was previously seen on flagship smartphones) — and software enhancements.

HONOR X9c MagicOS 9.0 update

The MagicOS 9.0 update for the X9c is sized at 2.91 GB with a version package of "9.0.0.144(C636E2R4P1)".

The new software version comes with significant additions and improvements to the device, such as the HONOR AI with AI Translate, Magic Portal, and Magic Retouch , and the Circle-to-Search, which can be accessed on: Settings > System & updates > System navigation > Circle to Search. The notification panel also gets a new makeover with slight enhancements for the Camera app.

How to update?

HONOR X9c users in the Philippines with the designated model BRP-NX1 can head to: Settings > System & updates > Software update, to update to the latest firmware version 9.0.0.144(C636E2R4P1).
